Tormato "Drill" at School Today

We just had a one hour tornado drill. We took our class into the living skills bathroom and waited out the warning. The kids were awesome. They thought it was like camping out.

Big Girl Bed

Well, we tried it. She liked it so much she couldn't wait to go to bed. Then the wheels came off. Actually, it was the rails. She had been asleep for half an hour and bang the rail by her head hit the floor. She didn't fall out and was just sitting there in the bed when I came in. No crying, just a what happened look on her face.
Pearce was already in there by the time I got there. He is such an awesome brother.
I went and got the crib rail and did a quick change. We'll try again when we can get a mesh thingy like Pearce has on his bed.

... And They're Back!

The kids return to school today. The staff went back Friday to "get ready". It's going to be a completely new day with my student. New room arrangement, new schedule, new everything. Including start time for me.

Another New Year Has Begun

Yesterday we rang in the new year with a good solid bit of cleaning. Kristi and the kids started back to work and school today. I worked on certification for Applied Behavior Analysis studies trying to make myself ready for a possible teaching position. I also defrosted the basement freezer, figured out how to start the gas fireplace, washed a few loads of clothes (more to do tomorrow), and started to set up my bike for riding in the mornings (have a flat and no working pump). I'll finish the video course tomorrow and look into the online certification test. Oh, yeah, it rained all day yesterday and was wet all day today. Tomorrow will be the day for removing the window unit from the basement window. I'm going to sleep now to good Petrushka like music.
