Liver and Onions

Well, I have a story to tell. I went in for my annual physical a month or so ago. The doctor told me my foot problem was probably plantar fasciitis (inflamed tendons in the arch of the foot) and sent me downstairs to get some blood work. When the blood work came back with high liver enzymes. There are a number of things this could mean so the doctor decided to refer me to a gastroenterologist. The gastro sent me off for some more specific bloodwork to come at a better understanding of what is going on. Now, the bloodwork cameback and had narrowed the choices down to 2. Those choices are Hemochromatosis (too much iron in the blood) or Autoimmune Liver Disease (aka Autoimmune Hepatitis). I have come to understand that Hepatitis simply means liver disease. Well, anyway, the choices required a liver biopsy to determine between them. That wonderful procedure was carried out on Tuesday and we are now waiting the requisite 2 days to 1 week to hear the final word. Today would be the first day to hear from the doctor. I will post the news as soon as we hear here.

Quickie on the Run

Dude, it's raining out there. The fewer clothes the better.

Brother said this thumb thing right there on my hand was pretty good.

Is she supposed to be sliding off like this, Daddy.
Ahhh, I've got Daddy just where I want him.
