How Much Does the Hair Fairy Give For Curls

Just say good-bye to these beautiful little curls

Your gonna do what to my what?

I'm being still...I'm being still...I'm being still

Nana? Is that my hair your holding in your hands?

Well, there's nothing I can do about it now, but look at this cool cape they put on me backwards.
I tell ya they used this thing on my head that went buzz, buzz!

And this is what happened to those beautiful curls.

Christmas Presents for Pearce Are Already Arriving

Thank you, Jeannie and David. This was a wonderful surprise and Pearce absolutely loves it. We are putting it away for a few weeks (we are going to try to make it till at least Thanksgiving Break). It will probably be back out by the first of November.

His Indian name is Dances With Chipmunks

This is the adorable thank you video

A Pot Pouri of Precious Pictures

Never fear Daddy turned off the mower

It's really hard to mow without the engine running Dad.

Too tired to make it to the bedroom for a nap. It's called playing hard.

Hey, y'all! Comeback ya here.

Do you think they heard us Daddy?

The little man woke up one morning and had become...

ROBO-BABY

With his trusty side-kick Ceasy, the cat-dog.

OK, now y'all are going to have to let me eat now.

No, seriously it's time for me to eat.

More Roswell Chronicles

We definitely had a great weekend going to Mamaz and Papaz this past Saturday. The Boy had a fantastic time getting new shoes from Mamaz and getting to ride around in Ken's new Deuce and a Half. Here are some pics a la Mamaz.

Like my cool shoes Mamaz made me. Kinda Scandinavian.

Horse rides on Daddy's knee is pure ecstasy.

Papaz you play the bass line

A little piano sing-a-long follow my lead.

I wonder what those pedal thingies down there do.
This is how you play chopstick. You see I'm using only one hand.
This is how you play a scale with one finger Papaz.

A Trip to the Wilds of Fulton County

We went down to Mom and Dad's this weekend on the spur of the moment. Pearce just had to go over to Ken's and see the new truck. He also got to try it out. While we were getting ready to go eat Saturday night Papaz put Pearce up to the piano and we now have a little virtuoso in the family to give Randy some competition. Well, Pearce might be a little on the rock and roll side.

Stills to follow at some point.

It Is a New Month

I have not been doing the best at keeping up with the blog. I have fallen down on this task here are some gratuitous pictures of cuteness. Oh, by the way, I have discovered a way to create a space to work on cars at the house (as long as the day is nice at least). More on that at a later time. I may even put pictures of the work up here. Now, for merely gratuitous pictures of my son here we go.

Gotta get Daddy the right wrench for the brakes

Look at me I'm floating down the mall river.

Look at me pick these tomatoes. What do you mean they are supposed to be red?

Ahhhhhhhhh!! Breakfast! (enough said)

Just hanging out with the youth director swapping ideas.

Three Musketeers

Aunt Becky he still doesn't really get it does he?

Did I cross my legs right Sam?

I have no idea what those two are laughing at.

Daddy, these guys are kind of funny.

Cheese biscuits just flat rock (the world)

Wow, Mamaz tells y'all to do something and you just do it?

Pin the Tail on the Cat

The Boy Has Visitors

Well, it started with the cat in the refridgerator and ended in the dryer.

Watch me go back and forth, back and forth.

This is how I'll sit to watch the soccer games with Dad.

No, No, No. This is where the vegetables go.

This is my tractor just watch me go.

New Site to Keep Up With Roy's Treatment

Here is a link to keep up with Roy's condition. It is Pop's Journey. Shelley is keeping this blog updated.

What we know now is that there are spots on his liver and that he is only doing chemo at the moment. I think the schedule is four rounds and a check then two more if it is working. Make sure to check Pop's Journey for details.

Update about Roy

Roy is going Tuesday for a PET scan, Wednesday he will get his MRI, and Thursday he will go back to the doctor to have it all explained. Then I will have some news about his treatment schedule. Pray Pray Pray.

It Isn't a Wasted Day if You Get To Do Some Fishing

Here is some footage of just how much Pearce enjoys his fishing gear he got on his birthday. Jeannie and David you done good.

It's the End of the World as We Knew It

Isn't this the most awesome sight in the world. He is all over the place.

Oh How I Love Food

This is the ambrosia of the south. You got awesome ribs well smoked and rubbed (with a bit of faith on the grill at the house). You got your two kinds of fried pickles; home-made with beer batter gotten on our honeymoon (it lasted well not being opened), and home-made with cornmeal. You got your basic baked beans with onions (didn't have time to fix 'em up fun). Of course there was Iced Tea involved. This was just awesome.

1 Fish, 2 Fish

I guess it is about time that I talked about fish and fishing in a blog titled Swordfish and Tuna. J got a hold of me earlier in the week and invited me down to go fishing. I got permission and was there with bells on. We got to Jones Bridge Park and this is what we saw.

So, we decided to hit some ponds around Roswell. The first was the pond at Island Ford off Roberts Rd. There I had success. Minor though it was I did actually catch something other than weeds and trees on the other end of my rod. There is the first little guy (it was suggested that I didn't include my hand and he would have looked larger, oh well). No matter how small they are I take a picture so I have a record of the catch (it also keeps me honest, sorta).

Next we have this even smaller specimen. They were small but I was fishing, and I haven't been doing alot of that recently. I have the time now for a few weeks (ok two months) so I am going to get some practice in so my casting is not so ugly.

This is the view at the pond where I didn't catch a thing. This is the pond at Leita Thompson Park off 92 headed towards Woodstock. J caught 3 or 4 here, but me, I was full of Slopes' and my cast was getting progressively worse. I had hits and nibbles, but either the buggers were as full as I was or weren't interested in my fly choice. They followed my flys around and, well, nibbled. Then I started catching pine trees. After the second lost fly I decided to watch J cast.

All in all it was a good day on the water. I caught a few fish (size doesn't matter when it is a matter of getting skunked or not) and I got to hang out with J for a while. It doesn't hurt that I was interduced to fly fishing for bass today either. I shall now hunt down ponds as well as streams to fish.

I Found Some Cool Solo Cello Pieces

Road Tripping

I got an MP3 player this past weekend. With it came 50 free downloads from eMusic.com. Well, I found some really cool solo cello pieces; Ciaccona, Intermezzo, e Adagio by Luigi Dallapiccola; Solo Cello Sonata for Cello Op. 25 no. 3 by Paul Hindemith; Bunraku by Toshiro Mayuzumi and a bunch more.
I am really liking the cello music a whole bunch. These pieces that I have found will cost money. Something I have avoided so far is actually paying money for sheet music, but these are really cool and sound wonderful.
