(That would be brother) I was just going for some alliteration.
I found two computer games based on civil war era warships; broadside ironclads (sailing/steam "normal warships") monitors, "barns on a raft" (merrimack type ships). Too cool for a geeks words.
I also found a new author. Upton Sinclair! Yes, Jungle man wrote naval fiction set in and around the time of the Spanish American War. The only one I have at the moment is a free audio book. It's a bit cheese and a tiny bit inaccurate, but mine will probably be similar.
This means I'm now on a new book hunt.
